According to a study we found, you are four times as likely to get into an accident while texting and driving than if you were driving drunk. Everybody knows drinking and driving is bad. But when it comes to texting and driving, people turn a blind eye.
To show this, we placed hidden cameras in a NYC cab and took unsuspecting customers for a ride. The booze was fake, our cabbie's "texting" was pre-recorded video on his phone, but the reactions from the passengers were 100% real.
In addition to being extremely impactful when launched for "Anti-Texting and Driving Month" in April, our work was selected as a Creativity Pick of the Day, was featured by Fast Company, written up in Adweek, won the first Public Service Shorty, won in the AICP Public Service category, and was shortlisted at Cannes and in the One Show.
